The cold weather, sparkling lights, decorated trees, festive parties, lanterns and the never ending tradition of exchanging gifts are signs that Christmas is here.
There is no place like home during this season- a season when all members of our family come home and enjoy the warmth of being together for the family reunion. The gifts under the Christmas tree the abundant Noche Buena on the dining table, the warmth and togetherness that we feel, make us eager and yearn to go home.
We Filipinos consider food ad one of the best and most fitting symbol for communicating love and sharing. No one would dare to let this season pass without a taste of traditional puto bumbong, bibingka, hot cups of chocolate, a buffet of embutido, galantine, lengua, fruit cakes and candy canes.
The real spirit of Christmas is felt by every Filipinos especially during the days of Simbang Gabi. It can’t be Christmas without these things.
Christmas has always been a special day for the Filipino family. It is a magical season that everyone looks forward to. It is time for realizing dreams and granting wishes.
We students who have trying to help on country’s economy to have greater hopes in our heart convinced that somehow, someday, somewhere... the magic of the yuletide season will make our dreams come true and will crown our fervent prayers and sacrifices. J
